Jason Bermas is an activist and filmmaker who has brought us such important works as Loose Change, Fabled Enemies, Invisible Empire, and most recently, SHADE the Motion Picture.
Loose Change is a film that, by my estimate, has no equal in terms of the amount of people it has woken up. It’s certainly played a role in my own awakening, and continues to do the same for countless others to this day. Fabled Enemies and Invisible Empire are no less important, and as a result of Jason’s desire to get the truth out there, all of his work can be freely viewed.
His latest effort, with Shepard Ambellas of Intellihub, is SHADE. The film “exposes the true power structure embedded in our global reality, showing the true controllers and their plans to geo-engineer our planet and control the populace.” SHADE is an excellent film, and if you haven’t yet, I highly suggest checking it out below.
Mr. Bermas was kind enough to answer a few questions for us. He talks about his inspiration, his career, and the advice he’d give to anyone wishing to get involved. Have a look below!
For some years now, you’ve been involved in alternative media and activism, what was it that inspired you to get involved?
Finding out we were lied to on a large scale regarding the events of 9/11 is what drove me into activism and documentary filmmaking.
Your film SHADE the Motion Picture was released last year. Speaking to the global awakening we hear so much about, have you noticed the reception to this project has been larger and/or more well received than previous ones?
While it will always be hard to top the global success and view counts of Loose Change, I continue to make documentaries about subjects I feel are vital and important. So far Shade only has about 160K views, which I of course would like to see grow immensely. However, as far as my ability to make a compelling film with a high production value and good pacing, I’m not sure I have made a better film than Shade. For those that have viewed it the overall response has been tremendous.
You’ve been featured on some of the most prominent shows in alternative media, and worked with some of the heaviest hitters therein, what has been the highlight of your career in activism thus far?
The real highlight is having the ability to make content that people not only watch, but hopefully take action from after viewing. The idea that I can spread my voice through media and have that voice resonate in the public consciousness is really the biggest highlight. Through the years I have been able to meet and interact with numerous interesting people, and even take on some of my detractors which is always enjoyable.
What do you see as the most pressing issue of 2014?
The overarching Technopoly that is developing here at home and throughout the world. As the power structure continues to spy on us through all available technology without we the people having a way to prosecute those abuses, we face a very serious tyranical reality.
What advice would you offer to those looking to get involved in some form or fashion?
Hit the ground running and get out there, we can all contribute something positive to humanity. So find an issue that you are passionate about and use your own specific talents and abilities to improve the situation or raise awareness of the issue.
What can fans expect from you in the future?
I’m not going anywhere, expect me to continue to remain active and make compelling documentary films.
I certainly admire the work Jason has done, and his urge to get it out to as many people as possible. Check out the links below for his social media, and the websites where you can purchase DVDs and merchandise to support someone who’s been supporting our cause for years for now!
