Next week, the annual Bilderberg Group meeting is set to be held at the Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire, England. It’s being reported that the meeting will take place June 6th – 9th, directly following Google’s Zeitgeist conference, which has been held at the same hotel since 2007.
What is the Bilderberg Group? A group consisting of the world’s most influential people in the fields of finance, politics, military, religion, you name it. An ever-evolving group of the world’s power elite. As most of you probably know, these meetings are held in secret, and have remained more or less just that for the better part of 50 years.
These meetings have been taking place yearly since 1954, in Oosterbeek, Netherlands, when Daniel Estulin says “the most powerful men in the world met for the first time, and debated the future of the world.” Daniel Estulin is widely considered to be the world’s leading researcher on the group, and has literally written The True Story of the Bilderberg Group.
“Imagine a private club where presidents, prime ministers, international bankers and generals rub shoulders, where gracious royal chaperones ensure everyone gets along, and where the people running the wars, markets, and Europe (and America) say what they never dare say in public,” Estulin says, the Bilderberg Group has become “a shadow world government… threaten(ing) to take away our right to direct our own destinies (by creating) a disturbing reality.”
Past attendees have included the likes of Ben Bernanke, Donald Rumsfeld, Mark Zuckerberg, Timothy Geithner, George Soros, Rupert Murdoch, Larry Summers, and various members of Congress, European royalty, and members of the media.
On May 20, just over a week ago, member of European Parliament Gerard Batten spoke to the matter, saying, “These annual meetings are summits of the most wealthy, powerful and influential people in the world of politics, finance and business. The biggest mystery surrounding them is why the mainstream newspapers and broadcasters have chosen not to report on them since 1954. However in the internet-age there existence can no longer be kept secret. I’ve written to all the mainstream press and TV in the UK, asking them if they intend to report on this meeting – and if not, why not.”
He went on to say that he’s “submitted a freedom of information request to the Hertfordshire police commissioner, asking on what basis the policing is being provided, and who is paying the bill. I very much look forward to their responses.”
With last year’s meeting held in Chantilly, Virginia to unprecedented media coverage (almost exclusively by alternative media, of course), there is much anticipation about what this year’s meeting will bring. And rightly so!
